Podcast: Earth Day And The Christian Response To Globalism

Podcast: Earth Day and the Christian response to globalism

The earth is Yahweh’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

Psalm 24:1

Gen 1:1
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

To celebrate the earth, there is an organization that has created and established the international “Earth Day”.

Earth Day is April 22 of every year. April 22, 2020 marks 50 years of Earth Day.

While “Earth Day” sounds harmless and even worthy, it is not what it seems.

This is what the Earth Day web site says about its global mission:

To build the world’s largest environmental movement to drive transformative change for people and planet… to diversify, educate and activate the environmental movement worldwide. Growing out of the first Earth Day in 1970, Earth Day Network is the world’s largest recruiter to the environmental movement, working with more than 75,000 partners in over 190 countries to drive positive action for our planet.

OUR VISION FOR CHANGE

Our world needs transformational change. It’s time for the world to hold sectors accountable for their role in our environmental crisis while also calling for bold, creative, and innovative solutions. This will require action at all levels, from business and investment to city and national government.

The Earth Day message sounds noble

All of this sounds good but the problem is what you see is not what you get.

Behind Earth Day is sinister activism that policizes a satanic agenda.

The founder of Earth Day, Gaylord Nelson, obviously does not base his efforts on any Biblical motivation. He believes that, “The fate of the living planet is the most important issue facing mankind.”

Consequently, Earth Day adherents support and promote globalization, communistic agendas, intrusive regulations, abortion, and much more.

The motivation behind Earth Day is religious and idolatrous

“The earth is literally our mother, not only because we depend on her for nurture and shelter but even more because the human species has been shaped by her in the womb of evolution.  Our salvation depends upon our ability to create a religion of nature.”

– Rene Dubos, board member Planetary Citizens

“The climate crisis is not a political issue, it is a moral and spiritual challenge to all of humanity.  It is also our greatest opportunity to lift Global Consciousness to a higher level.”

– Al Gore, accepting the Nobel Peace Prize

Here is an example of where this can lead in a very short step:

The earth is not a god; it was created by God.

Ex. 20:3
“You shall have no other gods before Me.

Romans 1:25
They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.

Genesis 1:1
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

The fate of the planet is, ultimately, not in the hands of mankind. While humans are responsible for caring for the earth (as per the “Dominion mandate”) the earth belongs to God, not man.

In that light, it is very important to note that those who have identified as Christians have fallen extremely, woefully, and dreadfully sinfully short in stewarding the earth which is God’s creation.

It is a travesty that a pagan organization with a satanic agenda is leading the way in calling for care for the earth.

Yeshua came to correct warped and misguided beliefs

When Yeshua spoke, He did so on the authority of man’s covenant with God. That covenant is recorded in what is commonly referred to as the “Old Testament”

Mt. 5:18
For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.

Yeshua came to correct the warped and misguided beliefs of the Jewish religious system and other pagan religions. Toward the end of his ministry He said this:

Matthew 28:18-20
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

So what would He have told His followers and what is He telling us today?

First and foremost it is important to remember the claims found in the opening words of the summary of today’s program / podcast:

The earth is the Yahweh’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
Psalm 24:1

The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
Psalm 24:1

How do we respond to Earth Day?

Christians should be leading the way in earth management and stewardship.

Parson Rayphe

Historically, Christians are quick to criticize others while we fail to offer an alternative.

This is a time to step up and be counted as we embrace the world as God’s creation and steward it accordingly.

Blessings in Yeshua
