God’s Kingdom Podcast Summary: Overcoming Impossible Evil

Normalcy Bias
Lately, I have been reintroducing the concept of the normalcy bias and how we are affected by it.

Here’s the definition that I’ve come up with: The phenomenon of disbelieving one’s situation when faced with dramatic change. Over-focusing on the actual phenomenon instead of taking appropriate action, a state of paralysis.

It is critical that we learn to identify and mitigate “normalcy bias” as we walk with God into the future.

What role do you want to play in future events?
God has made us all with a free will to make decisions and choices on our own. Some people have great difficulty in accepting this reality.

Ecclesia

To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

Hebrews 12:23

The word “church” in this paragraph is taken from the Greek word “Ecclesia”

The typical translation for the word Ecclesia is the “called out ones”. However, what the Ecclesia is called out from and to are rarely mentioned and hotly debated when they are.

Today I touch upon the special relationship that God has with the Ecclesia and what the function of the Ecclesia is, particularly in these tumultuous days
