translated from satans kingdom to the Kingdom of His dear Son. Freed from the power of satan

Freed from the satan’s kingdom to live in the Kingdom of God

Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

Colossians 1:13

…to open their eyes, so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. Then they will receive forgiveness for their sins and be given a place among God’s people, who are set apart by faith in me.

Acts 26:18

Translated from the kingdom of evil to the Kingdom of God

Like everything, everyone who reads that we have been “translated” from the power of darkness to the power of light will view those words through their own individual lense.

For some, it simply means that you now call yourself a “Christian” and that you should “go to church”.

However, for others, this verse means much more than that. In Colossians 1:13 the word “delivered” can also be translated “rescued”.

The word “power” is the same word used in Matthew 28:18 when Yeshua says all “power” has been given unto me”.

Finally the word “translated” is also expressed as “brought us, transferred, or conveyed”.

So Colossians 1:13 could read something like “God has rescued and delivered me from the dominion / power / authority of the satan’s evil and He has brought me / transferred / conveyed us into the Kingdom realm of His dear Son:

It is difficult for any of us to grasp what God has done for us in this extreme act. However, it does help when we understand that it is not only God who is a ruler over a Kingdom but that the satan is ruler over a kingdom as well.

He is not just a rogue villain leading a small gang of incapable degenerates who couldn’t do anything else so they turned to a life of crime.

Take a look at Yeshua’s own words in Matthew 12:26:
And if the satan cast out the satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

Yeshua Himself applies the word “kingdom” to what the satan has constructed.

In Col. 1:13, the word “kingdom”, which refers to Yeshua’s Kingdom, is translated from the exact same Greek word used in Matthew 12:26 when referring to the satan’s “kingdom”.

So when you read that you have been “translated” from the satan’s kingdom realm to Yeshua’s Kingdom realm I hope that you can begin to see the indescribable privilege, honor, and blessing of which you have been the recipient.

And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

2 Timothy 4:18

This is a verse you can claim if you have fully embraced Yeshua as Apostle Paul did.

Today I encourage you to meditate on this and, to the best of your ability, thank God for what He has done for you.

Blessings in Yeshua
