God is calling a Remnant: Ez.14: 1-11 & Summary

If you’ve been following along, you know that we’ve been progressing through Ezekiel chapter 14:1-11.

Religious leaders – hypocrites
In Ez. 14:1-10 we’ve been through quite a story. The religious leaders of Israel mentioned here are found to be hypocrites. They are professing God out in the open while worshiping false gods at home. Yahweh God hates what they are doing.

As we move along in our story, we talked quite a lot yesterday, about verses 8-10 in which Yahweh God says “I will set my face against that man who comes to the Prophet seeking a word from God while worshiping idols.”. This is serious stuff. Yahweh God vows to make these hypocrites an example. God says that He will cut them off from the midst of His people.

These guys are sowing bad seed and they are going to reap the harvest accordingly. God is done with it: He is sickened by it. If one listens one can practically hear the tears of God in this verse.

The bottom line is Yahweh God desires an intimate and genuine relationship with each one of us.

Yahweh God brings on calamity to encourage His people to return to Him
In order to encourage Israel to return back to Him, Yahweh God promises four different calamities upon the Israelites. Those four calamities are the 1. The sword: They would be invaded by enemy force (war). 2. famine in the land, 3. Animals, beasts that would overtake them, (in Egypt God used frogs and locusts) and 5) pestilence / sickness & disease.

Even now God is preparing to unleash these kinds of things upon America in order to call his people back to repentance.

It is they that He cares about. Now, over in the Book of Hebrews chapter 12 we see a wonderful Scripture that gives us some more insight into this concept. Hebrews 12:6-7 read: for whom Yahweh loves He Chasen’s and scorches every son whom he receives.

Hebrews 12:7 is very interesting. Again, “if”; the biggest word in the Bible. If you endure chastening, God will deal with you as his son. For what son is he whom the father Chasen’s Not if you endure chastening. If you endure chastening, you know your way.

The point is, what will your choice be? Will you stick or will you slide? God is building up faith in His people. He wants people who will wholly choose Him in every circumstance. He wants people who will stick by him. He wants people who will stand before 450 satanic priests of baal and demolish them for his glory

2 Chronicles 16:9 says that the eyes of Yahweh run to and fro throughout the whole earth to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is complete towards him.

The primary message that I want to introduce today is 2 Chon. 16:9
God roams the earth, and he’s far more powerful than the satan. So let’s focus on Him. Let’s not be so concerned about the satan roaming the Earth. Not that we don’t need to be prepared. We need to know the satan’s devices so that we can call upon the name of Yeshua, overcome the devil,, not allow him to destroy our lives.

But let’s remember that Yahweh God runs throughout the whole earth to show himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is turned towards him.

Ezekiel 14: 22 says that after the judgments there shall be left a remnant that will be brought forth Both sons and daughters will come forth and the rest of the world will see their doings. Praise God! Hallelujah! That’s exciting to me

For those who choose to embrace the things of God, there is a remnant that will be brought forth. There is a remnant that is going to come forth marching toward the glory of God.
