God’s Kingdom Podcast Summary: Aligning Faith with the Father

We’re continuing our series today in Luke Chapter 13 regarding the healing of a woman with a spirit of infirmity on the Sabbath.

We’re moving forward into verse 12. There’s just a lot there. We’re just a few verses in so beginning at verse 10:

Yeshua was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath and behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity 18 years and was bowed together. She was bowed in half, but she was also bowing. And, you know, I’m familiar with people that have been in that position, and I believe that that is a function of the devil that would cause people to bow to unrighteousness.

Continuing on: 18 years and was bowed together and could in no wise lift up herself verse 12. And when Yeshua saw her, He called and said unto her woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.

There are some very interesting things here that I want to call to your attention. The first is where Yeshua says, “woman, you are loosed from your infirmity”. I want to call special attention to the reality that Yeshua did not “speak to the mountain” here.

Speaking to the Mountain

One of my favorite verses in regards to faith and one of the cornerstones to faith in is Mark 11:23. Verily, I say to you that who so ever shall say to this mountain be you removed and be you cast into the sea and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that these things which he says shall come to pass he shall have whatsoever.

This is very, very critical. Notice that Yeshua did not speak to this woman’s problem (mountain). If you look at the language, He says “you are loosed or released”.

Going on to verse 13 for context: He then laid his hands on her.

But notice that Yeshua didn’t say anything to the spirit of infirmity. All He did was lay His hands on her and immediately she was made straight and glorified God.

In a way this Scripture presents a little bit of a challenge here if you place all of your faith in your words. I know that might sound a little different coming from me, because I’m always referring to Romans 10:9: If you believe in your heart and what proclaim, or, as the word says, confess with your mouth.

If you’re not accustomed to the things of faith, today’s program might be a bit of a challenge for you. So I just ask you to pray and just consider this as a possibility. This program is more oriented toward those of us who are a little bit more accustomed to walking in faith.

In verse 12 when Yeshua saw her, He called and said unto her “woman, you are loosed from your infirmity. He didn’t really speak to the woman’s problem (mountain). He didn’t say anything to the evil spirits of infirmity that were binding her. All He did here was make a statement, an observation you might say:

“Woman, you are released from your infirmity’

A higher form a faith

So why did He do that? He walks up and sees a woman who is so bowed over and can’t in any way lift herself up. As she is in that condition, He says, “You are loosed”. “You’re released from your infirmity.”

Naturally speaking, that just really doesn’t make any sense, does it? And then, as I read in verse 13, it says that He laid hands on her. But it does not record that He said anything in conjunction with that.

So we have a little bit of mystery here perhaps. If you’re following along in your Bibles, I want to encourage you to turn over to John chapter five. We’re going to be looking at a verse there.

Yeshua showed us how

It’s really, really important to embrace the reality that Yeshua was divine; or probably better said “is” divine. He was divine, but He was also 100% human. And as He was human, He was led wholly and completely by Holy Spirit. Let’s take a look at John 5:19.

Answered Yeshua and said to them, Verily, verily, I say unto you the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do for what things soever. He does, this also, the Son does likewise.

The Son can do nothing of and by Himself. You could say “on His own accord”. So I’m going to say it that way for our purposes.

“The Son can do nothing on His own accord, but only what He sees the Father doing. For what things soever the Father does these also the Son does likewise.

God knows the beginning from the end

All right, so let’s head on over to Isaiah. Isaiah, Chapter 46. I want to share something else with you regarding the Father. As we see Yeshua saying “I do only what I see the father do”, let’s take a look at one aspect of the Father in Isaiah. Isaiah 46:10 says that Yahweh God declares the end from the beginning.

I declare the end from the beginning from the ancient times, the things that are not yet done, saying my counsel shall stand and I will do all my pleasure.

So what I’ve said before many, many times is that Yahweh God knows the beginning from the end, similar to the way an architect envisions a building and then writes out a set of blueprints for it. He describes what the building is going to look like. He’ll draw a picture of what the building is going to look like. But then builders come in and actually build the building.

The architect does not know where the builder is going to purchase the supplies. The architect does not know exactly how many nails are going to be utilized for this project. He doesn’t know how many screws are going to be utilized to join two pieces of wood or other material together. The architect relies on the builders to utilize standard building practices. Of course, the architect oversees the project, and if there’s anything going astray, the architect calls it into correction.

That’s very much the way Yahweh God is. Sometimes God steps in as an architect would and says something like “It may not have been as clear on the plan as I originally wrote, but this is what I intended”.

In verse 12 we see Yahweh God stepping in and by His Spirit, He gives a vision of this woman to Yeshua of her standing up straight, glorifying God.

Yeshua saw the woman’s healing in His Spirit

Yeshua knew in His Spirit that the healing had already been completed because it had already occurred in the spirit realm. He knew that because He saw it in His spirit. And so when He saw the woman, He did not have to speak to the spirit of infirmity. All he had to do was relay the will of the Father to the woman.

Praise God! In some ways this is a higher level of faith than what we see in Mark 11:23-24. It’s a little bit higher level of faith than perhaps binding and loosing. It’s a level of faith that requires walking intimately with the Most High God.

All through the Gospels, and even the epistles, we see Yeshua and the apostles functioning according to the Word and Spirit of God. Yeshua came to show us how it is done. One of the things that is clear throughout the Gospels and the rest of the Renewed Covenant / New Testament is that it is God’s will to heal.

It is God’s will to heal

Yeshau is the “Second Adam”. He came to restore what man lost in the garden. One of those things that man lost was health and wholeness. Yeshua, being the Second Adam, came to restore wholeness in every way; spirit, soul, and body to Israel. Praise God.

All who would join into Israel have the ability, the right by covenant, to claim healing and health in spirit. soul and body; and God knows we certainly need it. Every one of us in one way or another.

There are benefits to aligning yourself with the Most High God. King David’s Psalm 103:1-5 read like this.

Bless Yahweh. Oh, my soul and all that is within me. Bless His Holy Name. Bless Yahweh. Oh, my soul, forget not all of His benefits. He forgives all of your iniquities. He heals all of your diseases. He redeems your life from destruction. He crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies. He satisfies your mouth with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Praise God. Hallelujah!

Being in covenant with God is awesome. When Yeshua was walking along and He was presented with this woman with the spirit of infirmity He had a vision of sorts of this woman standing upright, and He knew the Father’s will that Israel would be restored: It was a done deal. It was done because it had already been accomplished in the spirit realm. So at this point, Yeshua didn’t have to bind or lose anything. He didn’t have to step out in faith. He didn’t have to do anything but proclaim the will of God.

Today we can know the will of God by His Word, His spirit, dreams and visions, his Rhema Word, or His Logos Word. There are many ways that Yahweh God expresses his perfect will for us today. Our responsibility then is to walk out His perfect will. Hallelujah! Praise God,

Woman! You are loosed from your infirmity.
Praise His Name.
