Jesus rebuked religious hypocrites, Radio station about faith in God and the Remnant. Living in God's love

Tip: Don’t join “Hypocrites against God”

We began reviewing Ezekiel 14:1-11 as a follow-up to a series we concluded about the Parable of the Wedding Feast in Matthew 22:1-14.

In Mat 22:11  we read about how when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man who wasn’t wearing a wedding robe that he had probably been provided.  In verse 12 we read that when the man was asked why he wasn’t wearing a robe, he was speechless.

Today’s Scripture is Ez. 14: 8-10 but I have provided verse 7 for context.

7 For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to enquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will answer him by myself:

8 And I will set my face against that man, and will make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

9 And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.

10 And they shall bear the punishment of their iniquity: the punishment of the prophet shall be even as the punishment of him that seeketh unto him;

Eze 14:7-10

God NEVER rejects anyone who is sincere but has no use for hypocrites
God never turns from anyone who sincerely repents of sin. The Father receives him in grace, no matter how vile his heart is. So if you are genuinely concerned that you might be a hypocrite, then you probably are not one.

However, you certinly don’t want to find yourself in a position to have this said about you:

This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

Mt. 15:8

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Gal_6:7

The subjects addressed here in Ez. 14:1-11 were openly and defiantly serving other gods.

To turn to Yahweh is to separate from sin and other gods. God is a jealous God and will have no other Gods before Him

The First Commandment is “You shall have no other God’s before me….” Ex. 20:1

This is not a new problem:
1 Kings 18:21
And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.

Establish your ways in prayer, and you will establish your life rather than your life establishing you.

Yeshua walked on the water because…

And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.  And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.  But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.  And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.  And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.  But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.  And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.  And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.  But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.  And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?  And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.

Matthew 14:22-32

Yeshua was able to walk on water because He spent much time connected to the Father by way of prayer as we see even before the miraculous incident that we see recorded in the Scriptures above.

Yahweh God has little use for hypocrites who claim to have a relationship with Him but on the inside really have no desire to.

However, for those who are genuinely sincere, His “mercies are new every morning”.

Blessings in Yeshua
