Coronavirus P. 1: Is God Bigger Than The Pandemic?

Coronavirus P. 1: Is God Bigger than the pandemic?

Yeshua warned us of pestilence

Trying to sort through all of the voices out there about the coronavirus has got to be unsettling and perhaps even terrifying for those who don’t believe on Yeshua. Aside from all of the secular warnings, etc., there is also the myriad of “Christian” voices, and so many others.

No consistency
I heard of one Pastor who is telling everyone that the coronavirus is a hoax because he knows of no one who has it while I know of another who absolutely refuses to even discuss the possibility that it may be anything other than what is being reported in the mainstream.

Preferring to remain focused on God, I usually refrain from addressing the latest fad or hype. The devil is a master of distraction. However today I am feeling led to address the coronavirus.

Do you know Yeshua?
I am now into my third decade of proclaiming the necessity of developing an intimate relationship with God through Jesus / Yeshua because there is coming a day when He will not be just another option: Rather He will be the ONLY hope.

I am certainly not happy about the coronavirus but it certainly does serve as even more evidence that the world needs Yeshua.

I take no satisfaction in seeing people suffer and stress because they have not heeded the heralding of those crying in the wilderness to repent. In fact, I really feel for anyone who is not well-grounded in their relationship with God.

For several years now I have been teaching on Matthew 24. Matthew 24:7 warns of coming pestilence. “Pestilence” can include many things; one of which is widespread sickness and disease; pandemics.

Coronavirus prophesied 2,000 years ago
Yeshua warned us 2,000 years ago to prepare for such a thing. The Bible tells us that ignoring the things of God is foolish. I would agree with that yet, to their peril, all but a very few completely ignore His trumpeting.

In Matthew 24 Yeshua explains what to look for in the last days. I am not saying that the coronavirus is marking the soon return of Yeshua. However, it certainly does seem to be a plague and, as per Yeshua, that is something that Christians SHOULD be prepared for…..

I was going to begin to address various aspects of the coronavirus but the issue is just too multifaceted and involved so it appears that this will need to be addressed in segments.

For now, I encourage you to take heed of Yeshua’s warning that He gave you 2,000 years ago. Plagues and pestilence are here and there are more on the way. Prepare for them. Whether it is the coronavirus, some other virus, or some other “pestilence”, be ready.

Be Ready
There are many things you can do to prepare for these things. I’ll be addressing a few of them in the coming days.

First and foremost, the very most important thing you can do is develop a deep, intimate relationship with Yeshua because yes, God is bigger than the coronavirus.

2 Chronicles 15:6  And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for God did vex them with all adversity.

Speaking of the Kingdom of Judah God says in Ezekiel 21:27; I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him. :

It would probably be difficult to find a confessing Christian who would answer anything other than yes to the question in the title of this article.

Coronavirus: Practicing what you preach
Yet, honestly, after twenty years of ministry, it’s almost equally as difficult to imagine people living as if they believed it.

As a word spoken specifically for the days that we are now living in, on Shavuot, also known as Pentecost, Apostle Peter said this:

Act 2:14  But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
Act 2:15  For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
Act 2:16  But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
Act 2:17  And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
Act 2:18  And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
Act 2:19  And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
Act 2:20  The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

Act 2:21  And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Embrace the loving relationship that Yeshua desires to have with you: It is life itself.

Blessings in Yeshua
