Similarities Between Benghazi And Libya. President Trump's Benghazi

Not President Trump’s Benghazi? I strongly disagree!

In this interview with Fox News, “Former Benghazi GRS team member John Tiegen relates that he was baffled by the notion that the violent protest that erupted at the U.S. Embassy in Iraq would be branded as President Trump’s  Benghazi, saying that the comparison is ‘not even close’.

Tiegen said that the incident was not at all comparable to the 2012 terrorist attack against the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, that left four people dead, including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens.

To sit there and say it was just like Benghazi? There was no ambassador there and there was no consulate [and], technically, no personnel at all because they all got evacuated prior to the protesters getting there and that’s the big difference between this administration and the last administration.

At least this one took a stance before it actually was coming,” said Tiegen, a Marine veteran who was working as a security contractor protecting the CIA annex in Benghazi when it was attacked in 2012.”

I certainly applaud this man for his service and bravery but I absolutely and respectfully disagree with him.

He is missing a key perspective which he acknowledges in the second paragraph above. The reason that Iraq’s embassy incident is no comparison to the terrible incident in Benghazi is precisely why this is “Trump’s Benghazi”

The Trump administration utilized intelligence and took precautions to prevent loss of life.

THAT is PRECISELY why it IS President Trump’s Benghazi! He utilized his intelligence with some common sense and avoided loss of life. When the threat became reality he then addressed it accordingly.

An obvious and very clear exact obvious that took place under obama and hillary clinton.
