We have been shown the way

There are numerous ways for us to look to the Tanakh / Previous Covenant. Some of it reveals what NOT to do, other parts show us what TO do in order to move forward.

Let’s take a look at what Apostle Paul wrote about Moses and how it applies to us today.

Moreover, brethren, I would not that you should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 2  And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 3  And did all eat the same spiritual meat; 4  And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. 5  But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

6  Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. 7  Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. 8  Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

9  Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. 10  Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. 11  Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

1Corinthians 10:1

God had shown Israel the promised land; but because they would not embrace the promises of God, they failed to step into that place of regal authority that God has established for them.

Instead, they wanted to stay comfortable. They wanted to eat the foods they were familiar with in Egypt and they desired the security they had in captivity. They wanted to remain where they knew what to expect and what was expected of them; where their knowledge was sufficient. God wanted more for them but they rejected it.

God still desire that His people would stand up and take their place in the world’s stage.

I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power 20  that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. 21  Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. 22  God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21  Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church

Ephesians 1:19-22

In these days God is preparing a generation of faithful and dedicated servants who will bodly move forward in the things of God even in unfamiliar territory.
