Words can kill or give life

Your thoughts and words can be your best friend or your worst enemy

By your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
Matthew 12:37

In order to shape your world for the better, and to be a blessing to the Kingdom of God, it is important to recognize that your thoughts and words can be your greatest enemy or your greatest asset.

As I have said a number of times, there are some very key universal laws that seem to affect almost everything.  I am certain that there are way more than we are aware of but the rule of law, the law of life and the law of love are some of the very key laws that shape you and your relationship to God’s Kingdom.

However, all of these laws, and all other Biblical laws, stand upon the 1intentions of the heart and 2the spoken word.

If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shall believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead,
(then) you shall be saved.
Romans 10:9

The words you speak have a universally dramatic effect, not only upon your own life but also upon your environment and the lives of others. It has been repeatedly scientifically proven that words even have a dramatic effect on things other than human life as well.

For example, Joshua cursed Jericho by saying “Cursed before the LORD be the man who rises up and rebuilds this city, Jericho: ‘At the cost of his firstborn shall he lay its foundation, and at the cost of his youngest son shall he set up its gates'” (Joshua 6:26)

As a result of Joshua’s words, we read in 1 Kings 16:34 that approximately 500 years later “Hiel of Bethel built Jericho. He laid its foundation at the cost of Abiram his firstborn, and set up its gates at the cost of his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the LORD, which he spoke by Joshua the son of Nun.”

When Miriam and Aaron spoke ill of Moses The Lord Himself responded directly to them and very sternly warned them to stop (Numb. 12).  Upon His departure, Miriam temporarily turned leprous.

On the other hand, words can also bring light, life and a host of other positive influences to our lives. when Yeshua was told that Lazarus had died he stood at the burial tomb entrance and spoke these words of life; “Lazarus come forth” (John 11:43).

When Yeshua delivered people from demon oppression it was with words.

When God created the heavens and the earth He spoke them into existence.

Not that I have it perfected, but I just can’t say enough about how important it is for you to embrace the value of thoughts and words and using them wisely.

There is one who speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword,
But the tongue of the wise brings healing.

Proverbs 12:18

So no matter what other Biblical laws you know, encounter, or want to implement, nothing will probably happen with them outside of the intensions of your heart and the spoken word.

These signs will accompany those who have believed:
in My name
they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues;

they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison,
it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Mark 17:17-18

Jesus / Yeshua is the giver of life and one way He provides it is to teach us about the power of our intentions and the spoken word.

Today I encourage you to speak words of life over yourself, your family, your employment, business, and this ministry.  You can even bless and speak life over all that you are associated with.

Have a blessed day today.

Blessings in Yeshua
