God’s Kingdom Realm
This is part 17 of a series based upon the Parable of the Marriage Feast in Matthew 22:1-14. Each part stands alone with the other parts supplementing and adding to the whole.
Just like so many other Scriptures that we have looked at in the past, this Passage is so incredibly rich. It just seems like almost every word is oozing with rich, deep meaning. And so to clarify what is being said, we’ll be looking at various Scriptures, concepts, and precepts that are expressed throughout all of the Bible, but primarily throughout the Renewed Covenant (N/T). I hope that you’ve been able to follow along in our series. If not, I would encourage you to check out the archives.
And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
Matthew 22:11 -12
Note that the King invited the man, may have even clothed him, approached him nicely, and yet the man was still speechless.
SPEECHLESS?
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
1 Peter 3:15
Someone who has an intimate relationship with Yahweh God through Yeshua and is filled with Holy Spirit will always have something to say about it.
Some people want to have a close relationship with God but have great difficulty due to generational curses, trauma, evil spirits, religion, or other barriers that the satan has implemented in order to keep people separated from God. These people are hurting, but they are not “tares”.
Tares are people (spirits) who purposely infiltrate God’s people for nefarious purposes.
Wheat and tares
Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
Matthew 13:30
Even the most committed can unwittingly be used by the satan if not careful. When Yeshua was telling His disciples what He would endure, Peter protested. At that point, Yeshua responded by rebuking the satan who was working through Peter: “Get Behind Me, Satan!” (Matthew 16:21-24). Peter was in Yeshua’s most inner circle and so He obviously knew that Peter was not a tare. Still, He made it clear that Peter was being influenced by Satan.
If you purpose to fulfill the destiny that God has for you, it is imperative that you become familiar with “tares”. These are agents of the satan who have been dispatched to create disruption, chaos and even destruction and death to the body of Messiah.
Remember, a parable is a spiritual principle expressed in story form. In the parable of the wedding dinner, it was easy for the King to recognize the tare because he was not wearing a robe. Spiritual tares are distinguishable also, but only with spiritual eyes.
Developing this subject is beyond our scope here but it is important for the Remnant of God to remember Yeshua’s most ominous warning in Matthew 24:4: “Be not deceived” and remember:
“Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but….against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12
come let us reason
Are you concerned that the satan might be using you without you even knowing? If you earnestly cry out to God, in some way, in His timing, He will answer your prayers, give you eyes to see, and you will have that genuine relationship that you seek. He is inviting you now to share your concerns with Him.
Come now, and let us reason together, says Yahweh: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Isaiah 1:18
In the meantime, you can have confidence that if you are truly seeking God to the best of your ability you can and should rest in the confident assurance that He who began a good work in you is able to complete it according to His plans and purposes.
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Yeshua Messiah:
