Praise God for His Amazing Grace! "The Church"If you haven't…

Yeshua was fully human
In these tumultuous times, and those to come, it is so, so very important to stay close to God, the people of God, the banner of God, and all that He has to offer. We’re all going to be needing Him more and more.
Yesterday I discussed the woman at the well in John chapter 4. Today I would like to share another aspect of that story.
I have many favorite verses in the Bible, and lots of favorite stories. Obviously, nothing can compare to the story of the cross; but other than that, this is definitely one of my very favorites. It is a rich, rich story full of layered meaning.
Yeshua and His disciples traveling through the countryside
The chapter opens with Yeshua aveling with His disciples. They had been in Judaea and they were now on their way to Galilee. Rather than going around Samaria (which was the custom of the day), they went through it. They were on foot and it was around noontime, approaching the hottest part of the day.
A divine appointment
I believe that the Father led Yeshua to meet this precious woman at the well. Perhaps Yeshua knew exactly who He was going to meet, or perhaps Holy Spirit just led Him and He really didn’t know what to expect. We are not provided with those details.
Either way, I believe that God the Father arranged for Yeshua to be available at the well at just the right time so that He could minister to that Samaritan woman. By the time she arrived, all of the disciples had gone on; temporarily leaving Yeshua alone which, in itself is divine.
Even if nothing else in the story had the earmark of God, just the fact that Yeshua’s entire entourage chose to leave Yeshua by Himself is enough to sense the hand of God on the situation. I believe that the Spirit of God moved on the group so that the will of the Most High God would be fulfilled in this lost, hurting soul.
The woman at the well
If you can come to know this dear woman, you can hear in her speech that she is seeking God. She knows that her life is not what it could be. She doesn’t need anyone to tell her that she is a “sinner at heart”. She knows that she’s made horrendous mistakes: But she is seeking God, and He is responding.
Once she perceived that Yeshua was a Prophet of God she immediately began discussing the things of God with Him. She was even aware that there was a coming Messiah.
Yeshua was 100% human
In John 4:6-7 we read something very revealing about Yeshua. “Now Jacob’s well was there. Yeshua, therefore, being wearied“.
How can God, the Most High, be tired? How can He be weary? Moving on, the text says that it was the sixth hour which indicates that it was 12 o’clock noon. It is at this time, nearing the hottest part of the day, that verse seven says, “there came a woman of Samaria to draw water”.
Yeshua said to the woman, “Give me a drink”; an indication that He was thirsty. Approaching the hottest part of the day, Yeshua was thirsty, and tired from traveling. He was thirsty and He was weary. This reveals Yeshua’s humanity to us.
I’m not saying that Yeshua was not a part of the Godhead: He absolutely was. However, I am saying that Yeshua was 100% human.
John 1:1 tells us that “in the beginning was the Word (Yeshua)”. John 1:14 tells us that Yeshua was made flesh. Yeshua was made flesh…
Yeshua didn’t just somehow show up. The Scriptures clearly detail that He was born of a woman. He had an earthly mother just like you do. While God was His Father, He did have an earthly father that helped raise Him. Yeshua had a very earthly existence.
Over in the book of Hebrews, we have an absolutely astonishing, fascinating, insightful, incredible Scripture that gives us even more insight about the Messiah.
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself (Yeshua) likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
Heb 2:14
Yeshua was 100% human. Unfortunately, some people have a big problem with that. The argument is “how could He have done all of the things He did if He was fully and wholly human?”.
Yeshua was filled with the Holy Spirit just like you can be
“How could Yeshua have done all of the things He did if He was fully and wholly human”? There is a simple answer to that question. Remember what happened when Yeshua was baptized? Holy Spirit descended as a dove and landed upon Him. At that same time, Father God said, “This is My Son, of whom I am well pleased”.
Yeshua was filled with the Spirit of the Most High God. When He was filled, or “baptized”, with Holy Spirit, Yeshua received a measure of faith, love, everything He needed in order to be a conduit for the plans and purposes of the Father as He was led by Holy Spirit. It was the leading of the Spirit that enabled Yeshua to be there right on time for when the woman arrived at the well. Because He was filled with Holy Spirit, He was able to manifest the grace of God in words of knowledge, miracles, healings and more.
So many of the signs and wonders that we think are reserved for God were manifested in a human, a 100% human; that is Yeshua.
Why does any of this matter?
Why is all of this important? Because it demonstrates to us that all of the manifestations of the Holy Spirit that Yeshua walked in, that are mentioned in First Corinthians 12, 13, and 14, along with the fruits of the Spirit which are love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, faith, goodness; all of these attributes , that were manifested through Yeshua, are also available to you.
Yeshua and the Spirit of grace
Yeshua had the exact same Spirit of grace upon Him that you do.
Yeshua accomplished many things while on earth but part of what He accomplished was showing us how to function in this natural realm while simultaneously residing in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Hebrews 4:15 says “We don’t have a High Priest which cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities. But He was in always tested and tempted, just like we are. Yet He was without sin.
So if Yeshua could do it, then Verse 16 tells us, therefore, to come boldly to the throne of Grace.
As Yeshua walked in the grace of God so can you
Let us come to that throne of the empowering presence of God so that we can find mercy and the empowering presence of God in the time of need just like Yeshua did. Every need we have to be an ambassador of the Living God is available to us through the power of Holy Spirit!
Hallelujah! You have been given what you need to cast out devils, speak with new tongues, and even take up serpents so that if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you. You can lay hands on the sick, and by God’s grace, they will recover. Mark 16:16-20
As Yeshua was talking to the woman at the well, He said “give Me a drink”. The Scriptures record that He was weary from the journey. In this way, part of what is being revealed to us is the same Holy Spirit that empowered Yeshua, is also eager to empower you to signs and wonders as an ambassador of the Most High God.
You have the ability, and even the responsibility, as a child of the Most High God, to walk in His grace; His empowering presence.
That’s what He wants for you. That’s what I want for you also.
Blessings in Yeshua,
Parson Rayphe
